More of You

 

 

Lord, it’s not more programs we need,
Or more activities;
And it’s not more entertainment,
Or carnal festivities…
Lord, we just need more of You.

Fill us with Your Holy Spirit,
Give us hearts joyful and true;
Enable us to live our lives
Wholly devoted to You.

When the tempter’s pleasures entice,
Help us remember Your plan,
And submit ourselves unto You,
Resting safely in Your hand.

In our own flesh, we are nothing—
All that we do is in vain;
But empowered by Your Spirit…
There is great eternal gain.

O God, help us to draw closer
Than we ever have before,
And use us in Your great Kingdom
Till we reach Heaven’s shore…
O how we need More of You!

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
