Oh, the Precious Blood!

 

 

Thank God for the blood of Jesus
That redeems and makes us whole;
It’s that crimson flow that frees us…
And secures us in the fold.

No other power on this earth
Could raise the depraved to live,
Induce a new spiritual birth…
Purity of life to give.

Yes, that precious blood of Jesus,
Has power to cleanse the heart,
Reaching deep down in miry clay…
Eternal life to impart.

Let us never cease to praise God
For that soul cleansing power;
The blood that flows from Calvary
Is at work this very hour…
Oh, the Precious Blood!
