The Road to Heaven

 

 

The road to Heaven was built by God,
Paved by the blood of His Son,
The only road that reaches Glory…
Friend, there is no other one.

Old Testament saints traveled this road,
Believing Christ would appear;
Seeing Him afar off, they had faith…
And to the Father drew near.

The road’s now traveled by the redeemed,
Pilgrims on earth passing thru,
Praising the Lord for transforming grace…
That makes a depraved soul new.

It’s the narrow way, and not easy,
There are obstacles to face;
But He who built the road we travel…
Imparts His strength for the race.

When we come to know the Lord Jesus,
Our hearts cleansed and forgiven,
Abundant life is ours to enjoy…
Traveling The Road to Heaven.
