Victory!

 

 

That old rugged Cross of Jesus,
Where His precious blood was spilt,
Is the very place God frees us,
Removing all sin and guilt…
Giving the Victory!

As we trust and follow our Lord,
Not one enemy we meet
Shall ever win the battle, friend,
For Christ is our safe retreat…
In Him is Victory!

When we walk through death’s dark shadow,
Even there we find no sting;
Delivered from all sin and wrath,
We can hear the angels sing…
And oh, what Victory!

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, conquered all…
Friend, we need not ever fear;
Whatever troubles may befall,
Praise God! He is always near…
He is our Victory!

 

 

 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
