Without Him

A soul without the Saviour
Is like a ship lost at sea…
To and fro it doth waver,
Not knowing its destiny.
But, oh, the joy of that soul
Whose Lord is steering the way…
Securely sailing on course…
Destined for Glory one day.

Yes, a soul without the Lord
Dwells in darkness and can’t see…
Stumbling, falling, and failing,
Oh, how he needs to be free.
Jesus, the Light of the world,
Stands ready to change the course…
Of that lost one who cries out…
In repentance and remorse.

May God, give us a burden
For the lost upon life’s sea…
Stirring our hearts to share Truth,
That can set the captives free.
Without Christ, there is no hope,
Souls flounder in darkness grim…
Headed for eternal death…
Still in bondage…Without Him.

“In time past…ye were without Christ, being aliens from
the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants
of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off
are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
(Eph 2:11-13)
