There is a River
Whosoever drinks of the Water of Life
Shall never thirst again,
For within that soul's very being
Flows a river without end.
The middle wall of partition comes down
And the river rushes in,
With cleansing, healing water -
The broken heart to mend.
The streams make glad the city,
For God is in the midst,
And as the gentle water flows
The soul is filled with bliss.
Though the mountains tumble to the sea
And there's trouble all around,
That cool clear water is unmoved
And can evermore be found.
Praise God...There is a River,
Calm, peaceful and free,
To satisfy the thirsty soul
Through time and eternity.
"Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him
shall never thirst..."
(John 4:14)
"There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God...
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved..."
(Ps. 46:4,5)
