Crucified with Christ

Surrendering all to Him,
At the Cross of Calvary,
We are crucified with Christ,
And from chains of darkness free.
Free to live a righteous life,
Risen with our precious Lord,
Free to serve Him every day,
And obey His Holy Word.

Our sins have been put to death,
There, on that old rugged tree,
And we bear them no more, friend,
Glory to God! We are free!
We now live and walk by faith—
A faith only He imparts,
What a joyful life is ours
Since He came into our hearts.

Yes, we’re crucified with Christ,
Yet alive forevermore,
And some sweet day we’ll join Him
On that great Celestial Shore.
Oh, what a day that will be
When we see our glorious King…
We’ll praise Him for Calvary
And the new life He doth bring…
When we’re crucified with Him.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
(Gal 2:20)
