A Loving Judge

God is not a distant Father
As many perceive Him;
He’s very close to His children
Who bow and receive Him.
Ruling from His great throne above,
He’s Judge of all the earth;
Yet He’s a gracious God of love
Offering the new birth…
A Loving Judge.

Until He lifts us from the mire,
Cleansing our hearts within,
We are all under His judgment,
In a fallen state of sin.
Oh, friend, if you’ve not been lifted,
Come to Jesus today!
His blood will wash away each stain
And establish your way.

If you refuse to come to Christ,
There is a price to pay;
You’ll stand before the Holy God…
Too late, my friend, to pray.
He is Love, but He’s also Judge,
And you’ll reap what you’ve sown—
Everlasting separation
From God, who’s on His throne…
A Loving Judge.

“He shall judge the world with righteousness,
and his people with his truth.”
Jesus said: “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words,
hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken,
the same shall judge him in the last day.”
(Ps 96:13; Jn 12:48)
