When the Battle's Over
Christian, when the battle’s over,
The best is yet to be—
We shall enter into Heaven,
Praise God, completely free.
Oh, how we long to see our Lord,
There where all is made right;
We shall rejoice forevermore...
In His glorious Light.
For some, when the battle’s over,
The worst is yet to be—
All who’ve never known the Savior
Are bound eternally.
Oh, that souls would come to Jesus
Before it is too late;
He’s the only one who frees us…
To enter Heaven’s gate.
Until our Father calls us Home,
Let us reach out with zeal—
Shining the Gospel Light around,
That Christ may be revealed.
And When the Battle’s Over, friend,
We shall receive a crown—
As we bow at the Shepherd’s feet…
On Heaven’s Holy Ground.
“Be faithful unto death, and I will give
thee a crown of life”
“When the chief Shepherd shall appear,
ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.”
(Rev 2:10; 1 Pet 5:4)
